To the immense amusement of the spectators each October120 shepherds and their huntaways compete over a gruelling course in and around the small country town of Hunterville. This is the centre piece of the annual Huntaway Festival, a celebration of barking dogs and of all things pastoral. The event is designed to test the stamina and embarresment threshold of the humans plus the ability of their canine companions to coperate with their owners in a novel, confusing and challenging environment. A fabulous event, great friendly vibe and 120 tough high drive working dogs running around loose with absolutely no problems. As you can see in the videos, Dude had a whale of a time and Dudley survived the event with only minor injuries. Highly recommended.
